    Government Polytechnic, Ahmednagar established in 1990 and affiliated to MSBTE, had celebrated silver jubilee in 2014. The institute is approved by All India council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE).
    The institute has excellent infrastructure, well equipped laboratories, training and placement cell, class rooms, girl’s and boy’s hostel. The institute has a team of highly qualified, experienced and dedicated faculties and non-teaching staff devoted to achieve excellence in every activity of the institute. Apart from regular curriculum, the institute takes care of cocurricular and extra-curricular activities to build its student ‘a complete engineer’. The positive efforts taken by institute will help to achieve the vision of the institute and make our students globally competitive, employable engineers.
    The institute is spread over 17.39 acres in the heart of historical city of Ahmednagar which is the only Government polytechnic institute in the district. Ahmednagar is area wise largest district in the state of Maharashtra, India, about 120 km northeast of Pune and 114 km from Aurangabad. The two Holi places Shridi and Shani shignapur is situated in the vicinity of Ahmednagar. The institute is surrounded by two MIDCs namely Nagapur MIDC (12 km) and Supa MIDC (20 km). Ahmednagar is home of Indian Armored Corps Centre & School(ACC&S), Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre(MIRC) and Vehicle Research and Development Establishment(VRDE).

Committed and supportive higher officials, dedicated teachers, caring and co-operative parents blend harmoniously to create a student-centric institute. We believe in continual improvement. At G P Ahmednagar, we help students grow personally and professionally. We believe that the true potentials of students cannot be realized through academics alone.
