Department of Electrical Engineering

About

Electrical Engineering Department is established in 2014 with a sanctioned intake of 60. Department is having a team of dedicated and highly qualified faculty members. Good infrastructure and laboratories like Basic Electrical, Electrical Machine, Electrical Measurement, Computer, Power System & Power Electronics are nothing but another strength of the department.

Faculty strength of the department is 1(HOD) + 4(Lecturers) along with one technical staff at present. Our HOD Dr. B. C. Kharbas, has received Outstanding Engineer Award of IE (India) – Ahmednagar local centre.

Teaching learning process plays a key role in building overall carrier of the students. It is a continuous process and the department is active in organising industrial visits, guest lecture, hands on training workshops, and co-curricular as well as extracurricular activities. This altogether enhances the capabilities & strengths of students.

To achieve all this our department is having MoU with MSEDCL, Mayuresh Electrical & Ramvijay Electrical. Department has liasoning with different government organizations. Electrical Department is taking care of electrical maintenance of the whole institute.

Department has TPO coordinator. In the academic year 2023-24 total 05 students from Electrical Department are placed in various renowned industries. We feel proud to quote here that our students have built their carriers and are holding the prominent posts in the industry 05.

The Institution of Engineers (India) Ahmednagar local centre use to organize various activities under IE(I) Student Chapters; Such as Expert lecture, Model Exhibition Competition Paper Presentation Technical Quiz Competitions Industrial visit etc. In the Academic year 2023-24 under IEI Student Chapters - Institute level Model Exhibition Competition was organized by Electrical Engineering Department in coordination with Civil Department on the prestigious occasion of Engineer’s day i.e.15th September 2023. Reports of all the events are going to be published in the department in Newsletter which is published annually.
