The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in 1990 with sanctioned intake of 60.Department is having Good infrastructure and is well equipped with laboratories to meet the requirement of curriculum. All staff members are highly qualified, well experienced & devoted. Department encourage students to participate in various curricular and extracurricular activities. Department is having excellent academic record. Students have won many prizes in various state level competitions. Expert lectures, Personality Development Programmes and Technical Workshops are conducted regularly for overall development of the students.

A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering program covers basic curses like Communication Skills, Engineering Drawing, Thermal Engineering, Theory of Machines And Mechanism, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Fluid Power, Machine Design, 2D and 3D Softwares etc. After completing the program, student can work as a shop floor Engineer, Design Engineer in Industries, can become Entrepreneur.

  • PO1: Basic and Discipline Specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of engineering mathematics, sciences, ,engineering fundamentals and discipline specific knowledge to solve core computer engineering related problems.

  • PO2: Problem analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined computer related engineering problems using codified standard methods.

  • PO3: Design/ development of solutions: Design and develop computer solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.

  • PO4: Engineering tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.

  • PO5: Engineering practices for society, sustainability and Environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.

  • PO6: Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.

  • PSO1: Modern software usage: Use latest Mechanical engineering related software for simple design, drafting, manufacturing, maintenance and documentation of mechanical engineering components and processes

    Infrastructure

    The department has well-equipped laboratories and classroom with LCD projectors. The equipments includes Pertol and Diesel Engine Laboratory, Fluid and Industrial Hydraulics laboratory, Metrolgy and Measurement Control , CAD and CIAA lab, PCs (Intel P-IV, Dual Core, Core to Duo and i3,i5 based), Printers (Dot Matrix and Laser), Scanners. All the PCs and Labs are Networked and FREE Internet Facility is provided to students. Department has separate Departmental library consisting of more than100 titles for in-Lab reference to the students.
