It is with a strong commitment to the quest for excellence in the field of technical education, that Government Polytechnic, Ahmednagar was established in 1990 and is making rapid progress in enhancing its potential and changing its outlook towards providing better environment required to impart the best all round quality technical education laced with morality. Our emphasis is to make students competent enough to meet the requirements of global competitiveness. Government Polytechnic, Ahmednagar caters to a large number of diploma aspirants. We have students from across the state who choose this institute for its sheer commitment to the all-round development of the students. Consistent Excellent grade by External Academic Monitoring Committee by MSBTE substantiates institute’s stature.

Committed and supportive higher officials, dedicated teachers, caring and co-operative parents blend harmoniously to create a student-centric institute. We believe in continual improvement. At G P Ahmednagar, we help students grow personally and professionally. We believe that the true potentials of students cannot be realized through academics alone. The students need to be provided with opportunities for exploring and enhancing their talents in extra-curricular activities as well. Accordingly, our academic programs are backed up with appropriate co-curricular and extra-curricular inputs promoting culture, sports, self-governance and values; all of which help the students towards becoming complete human beings. We strive to instil a sense of pride and loyalty in our students. We make every effort to equip our students professionally and personally, intellectually and emotionally.
One of the keys to our success is that we have been able to build and maintain a supportive alumni network. Our alumni have achieved success both at national and international levels. We have a vast alumni network. This active alumni network is immensely beneficial to our students presently studying in the institute. Our alumni help students to connect with industry experts, corporates, entrepreneurs etc. Training of students and arming them with life and communication skills has always been a significant concern for this institute. Training is important for undergraduate students to develop their employability skills and achieve good placements. In an era when the industry is looking for professionals who are highly qualified with an unconventional approach to critical problem-solving, we understand that along with technical proficiency, overall personality development is also crucial. Our Training and Placement Cell guides the students to meet the expectations of the industry and make them industry-ready through career development programs, industrial visits, and technical seminars from industry experts and alumni. This Cell provides the aspiring students with an environment that help them to move towards more group building abilities from the stereotypically more individual-centric approach taken in academic studies. Our continued success in the placement area is a testament to the faith of the industry in our students and in turn in us.
