Department of Electronics and Telecommunication

The department of Electronics was established in 1994 with sanctioned intake of 60. Since its commencement, the primary objective of the department has been to impart quality education and training at the diploma level in various areas of Electronics Engineering with broad emphasis on design aspects of technical skill development of students. Laboratory facilities are utilized by students for the extensive project work.

Motive of department is to prepare its students to meet new Industry challenges and making them aware of the recent advances in the technological field. Department is having Good infrastructure and is well equipped with laboratories to meet the requirement of various courses in Electronics and telecommunication engineering. All staff members are highly qualified, well experienced & devoted. Department encourage students to participate in various curricular and extracurricular activities. Department is having excellent academic record. Students have won many prizes in various state level competitions. Expert lectures, Personality Development Programmes and Technical Workshops are conducted regularly for overall development of the students.

PO1:Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics,science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the electronic & telecommunication engineering problems.

PO2:Problem analysis: Identify and analyze well defined electronic & telecommunication engineering problems using discipline specific knowledge..

PO3:Design/Development of solutions: Design solutions for well defined technical problems which will support design of system components or process to meet specified need in electronic & telecommunication engineering.

PO4: Life-long Learning: Ability to analyze individual, societal needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

PSO1: Apply concepts in the field of Semiconductor technology, electronic Communication, Instrumentation & embedded system.

PSO2: Use conceptual and practical knowledge of electronic & telecommunication engineering with professional ethics to provide effective solutions to social and environmental issues in multidisciplinary systems. Assemble, test and analyze the PCB (electronic)circuits.

Infrastructure

The department has well-equipped laboratories and classroom with LCD projectors. The equipments includes PCs (Intel P-IV, Dual Core, Core to Duo and i3,i5 based), Printers (Dot Matrix and Laser), Scanners. All the PCs are Networked and FREE Internet Facility is provided to students. Department has separate Departmental library consisting of more than100 titles for in-Lab reference to the students.
