Department of Instrumentation

Instrumentation Engineering is the science of the measurement and control of process variables within a production or manufacturing area. Instrumentation Engineering is highly interdisciplinary branch covers major aspects of Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics, Electrical and Computer Engineering

The competition due to globalization has resulted in better process control, optimum utilization of resources & higher level of automation in all industry sectors. The demand for automation is increasing day by day. To face these challenges, competent Instrumentation and control engineers are required. There is huge scope of instrumentation engineering in industries like Petroleum ,Steel manufacturing factories, Chemical factories ,oil and gas sectors also in PSU like BHEL,BARC, DRDO. Instrumentation Engineers are the lead persons for Automation and Control. An Instrumentation Engineer has a scope to choose his/her career in a wide range of engineering areas including IT industries.

The Department of Instrumentation Engineering was established in the year 1995 with an intake of 30. Subsequently, the intake was increased to 40 in 1999. Department has a blend of experienced, dynamic, and qualified faculty members. Department is having excellent academic record. Expert lectures, Personality Development Programmes and Technical Workshops are conducted regularly for overall development of the students.
